Lincolnshire USAR provides technical support to enhance all operational incidents within Lincolnshire, and also provides a
 
  • Technical High Line Rescue Team 
  • Advanced Swift Water Rescue
  • Large Animal Rescue
 
Providing a greater resilience within Lincolnshire for any technical rescue incidents.

Lincolnshire is one of 18 regional UK USAR Teams. Based at North Lincoln Fire Station, Lincolnshire USAR comprises of 2 wholetime teams consisting of 10 USAR Technicians and  4 team leaders at Crew Manager level. The on call team provides 10 Technicians and 4 team leaders covering on an on call basis. To support the team a Watch Manager is responsible for Training & Development , a second Watch Manager takes responsibility for Swift Water and Marine Incident. Station Manager Woodmansey takes overall responsibility for the Team.
 
All members have undergone extensive training at the Fire Service College in four main disciplines (Technical Search, Shoring, Breaking & Breaching and Lifting & Moving) to meet the needs of the role, technicians have attended Fire Service College to enhance the capability of the USAR team by adopting speciallist roles in:-
 
 
 
  • Safe Working at height
  • Timber Shoring
  • Chainsaw Operators
  • Hot Cutting
  • Line Access & Casualty Extrication
  • Confined Space (mines rescue)
