T/CM Shaun Yates


Shaun transfered from Grantham Fire Station in December 2006 after spending 2 years as a fire fighter at Grantham, joined Wholetime in 2002 working at Skegness and Lincoln, prior to this Shaun spent 5 years retained at Skegness before joining Wholetime. Shaun is a member of the UKFSSART Team and joined USAR on the interim team in January 2003, Shaun is a qualified Phase 1 USAR instructor and takes the lead for Large Animal Rescue and has developed the current operating procedure which includes all training and standard opertaing procedures for the organisation.Out of work, Shaun is a keen martial artist and enjoys motor cycling and mountain biking

Jon from north of the border, sometimes difficult to understand, he hails originally from the Shetland Islands and joined the service June 2006 following the 2005 recruitment

campaign, Jon is the project co-ordinator for chainsaw operators. Jon is one of two PTI's on the watch, the harder task master of the two. He is also known to drink a little from time to time.

Tech John Crowder


John joined the retained in 1987 working at Lincoln Fire Station, joining Lincolnshire Fire & Rescue Service Control in 2001, gaining promotion to Crew Manager in  2004, together

with Jon Henderson and Ash, John was successful at the 2005 recruitment campaign eventually joining USAR in November 2006 after completing his initial courses at Fire Service College in October 2006.

Paul, joined Lincolnshire Fire & Rescue in 1989 at Spilsby Station  joining Wholetime

in 1991 stationed at Spalding, moving to Boston and eventually transfering to Lincoln Fire Station in 1997. Joined USAR on the interim team in November 2003 before moving to USAR Wholetime  (also a member of the UKFSSART team) in September 2006. Paul has been responible for the design and construction of a number of projects at the Waddington Training Site. Paul has attended a number of incidents with USAR, and one of the most experienced memebers of the team

Ash, is a Cod Head and yet another product of the infamous 2005 recruitment campaign.

Ash is a qualified fitness instructor and  the second PTI on the watch. He was formally a professional footballer at Grimsby Town before joining the service in June 2006.
